    Agricultural Marketing Resource Center (AgMRC) contains a tremendous amount of information on niche marketing of pork, once at the site, click on “Commodities & Products”, than click on “Livestock”, then on “Pork”.

    A wealth of materials on swine production, with some specific alternative swine systems publications.
  • University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Extension publications
    This is the home page for publications, start there just to see the wealth of materials available on wide range of subjects. Then click on “swine” and check out the great materials available for downloading.
  • Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture
    Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Minnesota. Click on “Alternative Swine Program”, there you can join their E-mail discussion group and/or read numerous reports and farm profiles.
  • Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas
    provides assistance and resources free of charge to farmers and other agricultural professionals. Click on Livestock in the left hand column, then click on Hogs. You get a list of six publications on alternative swine and niche marketing you can then download.

    SARE studies and spreads information about sustainable agriculture via a nationwide grants program.
